aisayman.. been a while huh..

so a quick update..

still jobless, still got long hair, and 2 cats, and an intact family.. cept my aunt's dad passed.. painted the ceiling of my room, finished and framed a 1000 pieces mona lisa puzzle.. well, meng nuo li sha to be exact (read: rip off).. watched a whole lot of movies.. both in the cinemas and at home.. still single and dateless.. gained weight.. started reading again.. still nonchalant.. discovered more good food havens.. went for nj mds dinner (i salute prof tan).. got a letter of acceptance to biz.. heng ah.. i've yet to reply. heh. procrastination. old habits die hard. yet to sign up for mandarin class and bike license.

its may... birthday month.. i want a chinook.. pls? or a piaggio.. with a tall handsome italian driver guy with strong jawline and hair like jon jonsson(dunno hw to spell his name),slicked back, in a pin stripe ermenegildo zegna suit and bally shoes.. and a cute white vespa helmet. did i mention warm brown eyes like owen hargrieves? and manly stubs..

so.. u know wat? ppl should really sit down and ponder abt the whole 'right to freedom of speech' thing.. i mean, since when has the american constitution allowed for insensitivity on our part? it may be hard to admit.. but ppl, there has been a MAJOR MISCONCEPTION. the truth of the matter is, "rights" as we know it, are not what humans are entitled to. "Rights" is a luxury. Only enjoyed by certain ppl in certain parts of the world.. and maybe ppl in this part of the world should not be allowed to have access to "rights".. especially the whole freedom of speech thing.. because PPL HERE ARE INSENSITIVE. and dont have an ounce of guilt abt being insensitive.

i admit i do enjoy the occasional mat jokes but i think i've moved past the racial jokes theme.. waayyy past... i mean, if u think abt it, it's just really shallow, childish and down right INSENSITIVE. u wanna tell dumb blond jokes, go ahead.. but i don't think anyone should mess with race or religion.. that's just LOW. some ppl might say "hey, why dont u just tell off ppl who do such things? straight to their faces?"

well honey, tts wat my blog is for.. im not one for confrontation.. im trying to be zen.

bloggers should take responsibility in posting stuff tt do not hinge on delicate issues. We have been given the luxury of saying what we want and delivering it to the rest of the world.. so i think we should be grateful and not taint the sanctity of that trust we've been given.

especially when u're a scholar.. someone who might become a leader some day .
