whoa nelly!

wat a big week its been. for those of u who've been pestering me to update (yes you, He who shall not be named) and for those who've i've made promises to and blatantly chosen not to honour it, here it is! hopefully the length makes up for the long waiting time. haha.


20.07.07 was sort of a bittersweet day for me. it was my last day of attachment, and to show my gratitude in the best way possible, i put my own blood, sweat and tears (not literally, i assure u) to bake several loving dozens of home-made cookies! Zesty Orange cookies to be exact! Here's some pics, for evidence. haha.

This cookie is reali dead simple. The basic recipe can be found here. I like to put nuts in anything i baked, so for this one i added Pecans and Walnuts. Alternatively, u can put in raisins and pistachios, they go well together too. i dun sprinkle icing sugar coz u know, ppl are either watching their weight or diabetic or sthg. tho melted chocolate piped in a zig zag fashion on top of these cookies are particularly heavenly! but u must remember to use orange zest and not orange flavouring coz that's just too tacky!


i reali like the containers too. they look pretty cute and the button tt makes the top pop is in a heart shape! (Altogether now: Awwwwwww...)


hee2. anw, to cut the long story short, my colleagues treated me to lunch. i had a scrumptious fish briyani (those chi-chi kind with nice presentation and all) and i forgot wat else ah. during lunch, they presented me with a gift! the gift came in a red paper bag! with SK Jewelry logo on it! opened it up carefully coz i sort of knew where it was leading to and i saw..

waaah. i was like.. terpranjat boboy kejap. haha. its reali nice ah. wanted to cry. but sooo not me rite. so i din cry la. haha..

the chain and the heart shape pendant are of white gold. there's some tiny diamonds on the heart and the 4-leaf clover is made of rose gold. i like! especially because ppl gave it to me. so i reali reali like! =]


after lunch the club manager called me into his office to talk to me. it was another nice surprise when he produced a testimonial for me, complete with the company logo, envelop n wat not. and one tt i didn't ask for n didn't expect to get some more. haha. like, way cool.


the highlight of the day tt i still tink abt happened as i was leaving. one of my colleague actuali teared ah. she's a 25 yr old girl from china and we grew close during my time there. we talked abt lots of things, past, future etc. haha. i hugged my other colleagues but she din wan to hug me ah. she kept asking me to stay away stay away.. then her eyes became red and watery. haha. like i was a bit sad to see tt ah.. quite touching.. but it was so funny to see her being so emotional also. haha. as if i was going to die like tt..


so tt was tt. the end if an era i say. after much reflection i tink i had it good. i was very lucky to have worked with reali nice colleagues who tried to not make me feel bored with the nothing-to-do-ness. in a nice environment too. overall, i wud say its quite lepak. haha. its just so coincidental coz last year when i worked for jocelyn, she gave me a white gold chain with a blue gem from taka jewelry. if everytime i leave a company i get jewelry then syiok man! haha.



Saturday was spent with ppl i love, F&F took me to Mad Jack at Jalan Kayu. Had fish and chips. the fish is reali nice! Confirm value for money coz its only $6.90 and the portion is huge especially the fish! at first i was eating, then i started to feel full so the last few bites, i was just stuffing it in.









ppl see them together and tink. "Eh, mamat cina ni dengan minah tudung eh.. cool banget." (Padahal mamat tu jawa pekat pekat punye).



Sunday was spent creating materpieces for the above-mentioned minah's 21st bday present. it was so strenuous! mata sampai keno wa cakap lu. but the results are keeeyoooooooT!!

We also bought an uber cute Anna Sui bag which i soooo desperately want for myself. but i resisted the temptation to do tt and bought a nice cheap bag for myself instead. hee2.


HEPI BELATED 21st MINAH!



On Friday, 27.07.07 my dearest MOKEY celebrated his 23rd. Hurrah! HEPI BELATED 23rd BIRDDAY ODY!! i was busy with tuition tt day so we celebrated on Saturday instead. we went to lots of places, mainly tourist attractions! haha!


had lunch at pasar tua or Lau Pa Sat coz we never ate there before. he had yummy yummy bbq chicken murtabak (with extra chicken of coz) and i had my by-default-dish ayam penyet. the place was not crowded coz it was raining. and it was past the lunch hour. hee2.


next, we headed to Sentosa's Underwater World! was so fun! me being child-esque (not childish or child-like pls, so tak glam) was sooooo fascinated! my favourite were the jellyfish coz they were sooo sooo pretty and nice to photograph and the giant fish. like normal fish but huge! like the size of ODY! i kept tinking.. eh wat if the tink like caves in and all of us are in n amongst the fishes. haha. fun!

we also got tix into the dolphin lagoon to watch the last show. the pink dolphins are so smart! din take pictures coz i was too engrossed watching the show la...


after tt we headed to the beach next door just to chill and so tt i cud give him his presents. quite bummed tt i cant quite afford to buy the bloke a PSP.. so i got each n every item tt wud remind him of sthg he likes. and i tink at least my efforts of saving up and collecting these items for the past 2 months have been well worth it! the highlight was kenny and of coz, Optimus Prime!

We ended the fabulous day with dinner at Newton Food Centre. 30 sticks of satay, bbq-ed sambal stingray with cincaluk, deep-fried prawns with oats POLISHED til clean! yummeh! and being the special day, of coz the entire hulabaloo was on moi's tab. yey! girl friend mithali! hahahhahahhaha..





this weekend the kawans are going to kl so do wait for the post on tt to come out yea! woots! til then, stay safe, sexy, confident and flaunt ur best angle always!
