hey kiddos! miss me? aiya.. must be lah. right? right.

okie dokie. it's been a looooong week. but its ok tho. got to pon school a lot. haha. so i'll just update u on lil' ol' me ya..

Monday: geez... i don't remember anything about monday...

Tuesday: hmmmm..... oh ya!! only like.. 15 ppl in my class came to school... or maybe less.. haha.. everyone ponned to mug. then, as it turns out, my civics tutor didnt come... (-_-").. so, me n joyce just dismissed ourselves at 1. haha.. oklah. that's like how i would like school to be.

Wednesday: Bio prac. AAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!! I SCREWED UP MY PRAC!!!!!! ok. breathe. wednesday was a majorly screwed up day. it was raining cats n dogs when i got to school (i was in the 3rd shift for prac.. n i was supposed to be thre at 12). i was early.. i reached school about 20 minutes earlier. n i realised that i had to walk through the MAIN GATE. darn. that's a bloody long walk. n may i re-iterate that it was raining reaaaliii reaaalliii heavily? then.. when i got to the bus stop, i saw li yu(my classmate) stranded. haha. so i shared my umbrella with her lah. to cut the long story short, when we got to school my entire left side was wet while her entire right side was wet. no prizes for guessing who stood on which side... n my shoes..... my lovely shoes..... my realy beautiful shoes.... WERE SCREWED!!!!!! ok. breathe. so... we didnt reali get time to dry.. then we had to wait in the holding area (the hall, the AIR-CON hall) n i was freakin cold!!!!!! then, at 2.15, we were whisked away to BI21 for the bio prelim prac 2004. i refuse to talk about it.
On my way home, some strange thing happened. i was in the bus lah, on the way home. on 154 to be exact. happily sitting down minding my own business ah.. then.. this guy sat next to me (n did i mention it was still rainin?) i was happily breathing away ah.. when.. suddenly, it hit me. THE FREAKING SMELL OF HIS FREAKING FEET!! IT WAS FREAKIN SMELLY I TELL U!! haha.. cannot accept ah.. i couldnt breathe ah.. serious!! i dare not ah.. then u know wat i did? i got off the bus at clementi and decided to take the mrt home. now.. can u imagine wat i meant by FREAKIN SMELLY? haha. ok.. so this is the weird part.. i got up to the clementi control station.. n i saw faliq. haha.. he was like.. right smack in the midle of the place ah.. he saw me n was like "oh shit! quick! hide! haha.... then i purposely walk past him.. i said "buat tak kenal seh.." all i heard from him was "heheh." (-_-") i tink he thinks i still have the hots for him or sthg... pls lah... that ended eons ago... right about when he started to be shorter than me.. muahahaha. pathetic.

Thursday: GP paper. My essay of choice:" Do the young have what it takes to ensure that Singapore remains successful?"lets just say it wasn't my best at all. i was very emotional. almost like defending myself. shucks. compre: psgA- how Americans are beginning to turn away from traditional religion psg B- abt Europeans n their lost faith in Christianity. nothing much to talk abt lah.

Friday: no need to go to school!!! Stayed at home all day.... Actually, i wanted to go watch a movie.. but there was nothing good on except for Fahrenheit 911. n that is no good to watch alone.. so.. didn't go for a movie.. well.. to tell u the truth, i felt like eating popcorn. i like the one at je. good stuff. sweet, crunchy, n cheap. i hate gv popcorn.. n cathay ones.. eeks.. stale stuff.

Today!!: MLDDS Farewell!!!! whee~~ i had a blast today.. haha.. a lot of funny thingd happened.. hahahahahhahaha.. n cikgu made lasagna n pizza n black pepper chicken wings for us!!!! n me n reez got chocs! oooh..... my juniors rock!! whee!!!!

To change or not to change (a lightbulb.. that is....)

haha.. ok ok.. im not supposed to blog.. i know i know.. but this is hilarious!! n it depicts.. well... the truth.. the stuff in ( ) are all me..

Q: How many RJC students does it take to change a lightbulb?

A: 4 whole faculties. One fac to design the new bulb, one fac to test it out, one fac to market it and one fac to write a stupid e-mail about lightbulbs.

Q: How many HCJC students does it take to change a lightbulb?

A: The whole school.....to compete with RJC.........

Q: How many VJC students does it take to change a lightbulb?

A: The whole school.......one to screw it in and the rest to cheer and wave flags and banners to give him/her support.

Q: How many AJC students does it take to change a lightbulb?

A: They're too busy trying to be one of the top 5 JCs...

Q: How many ACJC students does it take to change a lightbulb?

A: None......they use all their money to employ YJC to do it for them.

Q: How many YJC students does it take to change a lightbulb?

A: None.....only one teacher to tell them what a lightbulb is in the first place and to demonstrate. (How do you think they're able to change it for AC?)

Q: How many CJC students does it take to change a lightbulb?

A: They'd prefer it darker..........(hmmm...*raises eyebrow*)......

Q: How many JJC students does it take to change a lightbulb?

A: None......Their physics is so bad that they make the male teacher cry.....

Q: How many TPJC students does it take to change a lightbulb?

A: Would they bother? (They'd just say "Alamak, relak ah brader!")

Q: How many SAJC students does it take to change a lightbulb?

A: None.....they believe in praying for it.

Q: How many NYJC students does it take to change a lightbulb?

A: None.....they are still using oil lamps.(muahahaha.)

Q: How many SRJC students does it take to change a
lightbulb?

A: Huh, wat litebarb...?

Q: Don't you guys wonder who wrote this?

A: TJC!

Q: How many TJC students does it take to change the lightbulb?

A: None. They think they are very bright already.

(and last but not least.....)

Q: How many NJC students does it take to change a lightbulb?

A: NO LIGHT STILL CAN STUDY!!!!!

whee!!!!!! mugfest!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hey kiddos! miss me? must be ah..

anyways, im so sorry if i bo chup u guys these few days.. i know that at least 2 ppl are mad at me for not replying to their smses.... >>>>>>>>>>>>>SORRRYYYYYYYYYY!!!!<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

its just that i've been busy.. with school. man.. its been really tiring u know. i just had an econs mock test this morning. essays. 3 questions out of 6. i was quite pissed off coz i only studied micro chapters and i could only do 1 of them. so i did macro for the other 2....

Sigh. School is really making me weary. i'm so so drained.. and its not because i myself is stressed. its watching everyone else around me being so stressed, so tense. whining, complaining.. just stressed. well, at first i thought "if u cant beat them, might as well join them.." but im so pissed off now that i cant!! i refuse to be part of the *MBBS society which pride themselves on being hypocritical. for your bloody sake!! i am not the biggest fan of our education system too you know.. but u gotta admit that this school system has brought us where we are today. i mean, let's make it simple and tangible. just go read your friends blog. they're giving opinions aren't they?! and they're substantiating their side of the arguments with relevant details. isn't that good? and do u think we would achieve this without our current education system?? no way.

well, its not as if im a die hard fan of the *pap, but at least im grateful and appreciative.

another thing i detest, pretentious muggers. by this, i mean people who mug and mug and mug, then say "Aiya... i never study.... i sure fail wan..." to these special group of people, i'd just like to say.... KISS MY ASS.

i was watching the handover of the minister's office thing on thursday night. yea. it rocked. i guess it was very thoughtful of PMLee to include everyone in the ceremony. afterall, such state events dont happen very often here... besides the NDP of course. and i was kinda glad that he made a conscious effort not to sound like an economist-ish or njc first president scholar-ish in his inaugural speech as the premier. it was friendly, honest(i think) and rather personal. good stuff. and i was especially impressed by his malay. woohoo!! he used a lot of words that a) i rarely hear or b)i've never heard before. well, maybe that's because my malay..well.. kinda *sheepish-ness* sucks. yea.. i did take higher malay... but my vocab is like.... umm.. the size of jessica simpson's brain.

anyways, i mean, i've known this for a long time.. but i couldn't help thinking "whoa. there's like so many ministers who were from njc. hmmm.." ok. the people i know for sure are from nj are PMLee, Vivien Balakrishnan, Lim Swee Say, Dr Balaji Sidasivaran, some dude... i forgot.. and Ho Ching. btw, both Mr & Mrs Lee are president scholars. disgusting right? right.ok. my point is, i cannot imagine any of my friends or schoolmates being a minister.. >>>OMG<<<>

ok. on a totally irrelevant note, check out this blog at:
http://kwentongtambay.nicanordavid.com/ .u might not understand a single shit, cept for the clutters of english here and there. but it's good stuff. n look out for "lab u!!" and "dear gentle readers". n its fun coz when u actually read the things out loud, it sounds like u're swearing. muahahaha.

ok dudes and duddettes. its probably gonna be another eon or two until i blog again.. coz i have to mug for the As.. so i'd also like to leave u with this really interesting joke.
What's brown and sticky?
A stick!
Last but not least, take care peeps, try n make friends with my friends by chatting on the tagboard (being friendly helps u know...), take care of your health, study smart, and most importantly, DON'T MISS ME TOO MUCH!!!

*MBBS- Mouth Big Brain Small
*pay and pay (ok. if u dont know this joke, u seeeeriously dont belong here)

ps:as for u eeeevul people who think that i don't get picked up... well..... surrrrpppprrriiiisssseeeee... ;)

Thursday, August 5

The bus pulled to a stop in front of him. He recalled being at this exact same moment: the way the bus pulled up at the stop; the way he was standing in anticipation; the way he felt; it was all too familiar.
You're crazy.
Maybe.

He loved bus trips. A lot. He settled himself at the back of the bus and gazed out of the stained window. A little girl was trying to tie her shoelaces, without success. She pouted her mouth and demanded that her mother do it for her. Her mother was wearing a floral dress, red high heels and an exquisite black purse. She resembled a woman from the post-war era, elegant, humble but potentially dangerous.
How could she be? What a weird idea.
The mother bent down and did the laces in a few swift movements. She smiled at her daughter, who grinned back, with beautiful dimples. The mother stood up and saw him looking at them. She smiled at him, taking her daughter's hand in hers. He looked away quickly, not knowing the most apt thing to do. Should I smile back? Was I too rude to turn away like that?

The familiar rumbling told him the bus is moving. Towards home. He turned and spied the duo boarding the bus behind. Maybe I'll have a daughter like that. And a wife. Maybe.
He remembered the first time he tried tying his own laces, and he failed. He remembered it was a pair of blue shoes, with cartoon characters at the sides, and the laces was a sky blue too. He loved that pair of shoes. He also remembered the way his father had knelt down and showed him how it was done; and what he said to him, "Once you learn how to tie your shoelaces, you will be a big boy." And he believed his father. But now he does not feel so grown up; on the contrary, he felt small and vulnerable.
Maybe it was the sky, which had turned a steely grey, threatening to cast a blanket of rain onto the earth, cleansing it of all the grime it had accumulated - the sins and immorality. He had always thought rain was our salvation for the many crimes we have committed, and our respite on our tedious journey of life, washing the dust of the road off us.
That's uncalled for. Really.

"Aiyo, it's going to rain soon. Don't know if Ah Boy brought his umbrella?" A woman muttered in front of him. It always surprises him the amount of love a mother has for her children; and that love does not expect any form of reciprocation. Not ever. Not even when their children had children, and grandchildren and great grandchildren. Not even when all is void and the world is no more and everything is forgotten.
Yet the rose that blooms for you carries thorns; imperfections in its beauty; flaws in its glory. Pity, he thought, shrugging ever so slightly. He was very conscious of himself.

It was then that he saw him; pristine features, a chiselled face, a lean and bronzed frame.
He's beautiful.
What? What did you say?
I said he's really beautiful.
Oh god, you're gay.
No, I'm not. I just think he looks good.
Precisely.
He chose not to argue. After all, he would know himself best. He glanced at that young man again and their eyes caught each other momentarily; he averted his gaze coolly.

Beautiful.

this is not catherine lim!!!! this is the one, the only, KOONIEEE!!! haha.. i guess the genius that was hiding inside of him finally decided to show up..

btw, did u hear abt the girl whose spectacles fall off everytime she tries to put them on.. well, one day she went to see an eye doctor. but strangely, he referred her to a nose doctor. As it turns out, she had no nose.

haha. sorry for the buncha schmaltz. wat a waste of posts.

anyhow. forget abt it lah. no use crying over spilt milk that has already soured after being exposed to circumstances for 6 long years. u'll just get indigestion.

ok. really. forget abt it.

wanted to share something with you guys.. my gp teacher gave it to the class.

"(The) Other: A term from French philosophy that has several, sometimes overlapping meanings in cultural studies, including anthropology and psychoanalysis. Most commonly, another person or group of people who are defined as different or even sub-human to consolidate a group's identity. For example, the Nazi's internal cohesion depended in part on how they defined themselves against (strove to maintain distincctions from) their image of the Jews, In this sense, "the other" is the devalued half of a binary opposition when it is applied to groups of people."

In light of all the shit happening all over the world.. think about it.. n share with me pleeeeaseeee... n remember guys.... i love ya...

PS: My thoughts-- i think i am an "other".
